February Festivity.

In the midst of the selling and packing of our house, we've had a few other reasons to celebrate this month.

Oklahoma sunsets have just exploded during the mild winter months. I've always said they are special, but Wow. This beauty is truly something to behold and celebrate. What a canvas that has been painted for us to enjoy.

Someone's birthday happened this month too.
Adam always goes above and beyond on my birthday to make me feel special and loved. This year, despite the state of our home, I wanted to make him feel the way he makes me feel on my day. {Even if that meant waking up at 5 am to make cinnamon rolls and bacon for breakfast...}

We celebrated with gifts and cards at the beginning and ending of the day, marked with the 27 reasons why he is so very special.
We dined at the Greek House. It has been our tradition since we were at OU together and where we ate dinner when he proposed to me on his 21st birthday. Maybe we will still try and make the trip to Norman to eat there each year if we can.
We enjoyed chocolate banana cake with a little girl just as sweet.

Then, on that weekend we served the community that has been so good to us with some Random Acts of Kindness. Dreamt up from the birthday boy himself. Ways to give back and ways to step out of our comfort zone just a bit in order to get a smile and make someone feel special, even if just for a moment. A gift for someone that was also a gift for us. A big thanks to the friends that came with us- you've been with us since the beginning of our Norman time too.

I know that there have been several people that have been doing this around the country recently too. We didn't know it was such a phenomenon until after Adam suggested it and we started looking for ideas and things. I won't go into detail about the things we did that day, because that is not what it is about. The memories are in our hearts, but maybe others who read this will want to do a little RAK-ing themselves.

We love you, Adam, Hubs, Daddy. You are the best we could ever have.

And finally- a glimpse into our Valentine's Day... I love that MC is getting to the age where she can help out with each holiday and see the fun in it all. I am a sucker for a holiday, so even though we try to keep it simple around here {because we try to love each other well all of the time}, I can't help but get caught up in some of the cheese.

Loving the cookies we made for daddy!

A little February Festivity mixed in with the chaos that is our life right now. Because without it, the chaos would definitely be bigger than it should be. We want to try and celebrate the last of our time here and remember it fondly in our hearts.
